Plastering job?

I need a rough price on a plastering skim over The bedroom ceiling has got a thin artex stipple and the walls are solid walls with a few hair line cracks size is roughly 10feet x10feet .Many thanks in advance
You have approx 9m2 ceiling and 25m2 for walls. Total 34m2 The ceiling will have to be checked for asbestos content, this is not to alarm you but if chrysatil is evident then removal by a specialist contractor will have to be used or bond and set the ceiling. The walls and ceiling will need a PVA sealer prior to plastering. A realistic price would be between £500- £600 according to the removal of ceiling.

Most Plasterers charge between £6-£12 per square meter, so work that out.

    I dont do imperial measurements.

    Hope that helps.

you need…a plasterer! just ask a few over for a quote, most will suck their teeth then decide how much they need to earn from it, not what the job is worth.

if the ceiling is artex? you can remove this by using a wallpaper steamer, once the steamer is ready, apply to the ceiling and keep moving it in a circular motion slowly covering a small area, when it is softened just use a normal wallpaper scraper to remove it ( it can be messy, but this will eliminate the need to have the ceiling plastered) if the walls are just hairline cracks and the plaster is sound, get a pack of ready mixed fine filler and fill them and when set just sand it smooth.

this will cost you about £300 if you shop around but be care full there are a lot of cowboys,
better to go on recommendation and pay a bit more as a good plasterer knows what there worth pay the price or you may as well do it yourself

YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET IT DONE BETWEEN £150 TO £200 BUT A GOOD PLASTERER WILL BE RELUTANT TO GIVE ANY GARRANTEE SKIMMING OVER ARTEX
