4 Day plastering courses ?
are they worth doing are they any good, I have my living room which currently has paper on but the wall is not good enough to paint, so am considering going on a 4 day course, would i be able to tackle a job like this after doing the 4 days,
It is hard enough to find a decent plasterer who can do a good job, especially of skimming. If you don’t have high standards then do the course. While plastering is not rocket science it does require a lot of practice because it is a skill.

strip the paper off, fill the holes then put 1200 grade lining paper on your walls, walls will be like new

not unless you are already pretty handy at it
you will not learn all you need to in 4 days.
a full time course is about 36 – 40 days and you need to be doing it for real as well

It will give you the basics, so if you have never picked up a trowel and hawk then its a good place to start. At the end of the day its practise, the more you do it the better you will be, you wont be that proficient after 4 days but at least you know how to do a proper job.
