Learn to plaster
How to skim. Some DIY skills can be learnt from reading a book – plastering is probably not one of them You need someone to show you the basics, then much practice is needed. But it is possible to achieve successful plastering whilst practising — just have a go at the small areas first. This clip is a very quick brief guide to the art of plastering.

To those who say its an art form……. It isn’t. That’s just you feeling such a sense of pride that you feel you have created a work of art. Its a skill and takes years to master. But only those who are slow learners!!

if u r going to …
if u r going to plaster onto a brickwall u need to either, spot stick plasterboard to the wall and then skim wit plasteror use bonding to build it up then 2 coats plaster over the bonding. u need to consider if the wall is a cavity wall i.e. breezeblock, or if it is a double bond old style wall. and the location of the wall as may require ”tanking” if it is in the basement.

I thought plasteres had a sense of humour. The ones I have met don’t take themselves all that serious… My mate Richard swears by Polo mints and gobbing a lot… His dog also on my lawn and he thinks it’s funny. It is funny though cos I waz on his front door when his wife has called him in for the night… Lovely..
