How are plaster walls to be prepared for painting?
Our house is 50 years old with plaster walls. We are scraping off old wall paper and paint which is coming off nicely. The plaster is very smooth and shiney. I am wondering if the paint will stick properly to the plaster. Will primer and paint be OK or do we have to do something else?
I think that if you fill in any holes and primer the walls you will be just fine.
I would also look into faux finishes they are beautiful and can give your house an unique look.

Primer and paint should work nicely. Tint the primer to the paint color so you only need one finish coat.
